chinese new year coming. yay! angpows! lol. so money minded. anyways, we chinese new year coming by, my family had started cleaning up the house bit by bit every weekends. chenging the curtains, cleaning the fan, clearing those empty parts which is full of bee hives and dust bunnies. anyways, we oso boguth chinese new year decoration.

this year we have:

1) a bobbling head choi san ye (direct translation: Wealth God Grandad, real translation: God of Wealth)

2) a fake peach fruit tree

3) two mouse beads

4) a golden mouse piggy bank

5) chinese new year door greeting

ever since the year of the chicken (2005) my family started to decaorate our house with a bit of the animal zodiac influence. during the year of a chicken, my mom bought a golden rooster statue and placed it on a table far end facing directly at the main door, greeting the guest. also, we have two small chicken, perching on our door, giving another rooster greeting.

in the year of the dog (2006), we dun hav much decoration of the dog. however, me and my sis managed to find two of our snoopy dolls from some free gift by KFC long time ago (u guys might remember). its theme was around the world. fortunately for us, we have two snoopies representing china and taiwan. so both of the snoopies was wearing a traditional chinese clothings. we placed it on the television (ours is not flat screen btw)

last year which is the year of the pig (2007) or more politely, year of the boar, my dad got us two golden pigs representing wealth and properity. the year of the pig had the most influence of them all thanks to my sis who is a BIG fan of piggies. we got a crystal pig which was a present from my cousin to my sis on her birthday. we placed it on the television. my sis also brought in 2 pairs (and i meant as in 2 pigs 2 pigs) of piggy couples and placed it onto the decoration table. lastly, a giant soft doll pig placed on the couch as a pillow. all togther we have 8 pigs in the house.

this year, we have a golden mouse piggy bank (i cant call it mousy bank right, it sounded odd) and two handmade mice made of beads.

gong xi fa chai or i rather prefer to say gong hei fat choi (is in cantonese). i now chinese new year is a little early. but who cares. nothing to post. :)

prefects orientation begins again but this time, instead of me being orientated i will be the one orientating (or maybe the other way round). yay. pay back time to does who havent felt what orientation can do. lol. i am not that bad. probably i will give some easy task that can be solved. and to easen their job since they got other people to orientate i guess i will give them a hint. after all, i dun wan to be the only senior prefect that havent give any full to any junior probates yet.

anyways, this year, my column would be <3 - 2. it sounds girly, yes i noe but that will makes it harder to be guess right. it means valentine minus two which is non other than my birthday, 12 February! i wanted to put Amanda's name as my column since we share the same birthday and probates will think that my column is her which would be harder. but then again, it seems odd to put a girl name. people might think we have some connection and the usual stuff like that lah.
i havent plan 100% on how to design my column yet but it dun hav to be fancy lor. i plan to put green and blue colour only. dunnoe why but i like the match. here is so far how i planned my column: 2008 will be placed at 2 corner facing opposite each other. the word full will be at far end from the 2008 with the word terbaik came strolling down from the right cornerand strolling up from the left corner. (use ur imagination) in the center would be my signature on a plain circle. thats my plan loh for the moment. maybe will change it later since i only draw it in pencil.

today, eng khim reminded me of people who gave me full during my orientation. unlike matthew i got very little only. i managed to get 20 fulls only. so far i remembered these people gave me full:

i noe most of u guys might find that chinese checkers is a boring game and very lame. but honestly, i kinda enjoyed it. u can say that it is my second or third fav board game. is like amazing race to me only board style. the game rules are simple. the game consist of minimum 2 players and maximum 6 players. is not chinese chess btw. chinese checkers' board is a huge star with 6 diffrent colours includes usually red, yellow, green, ultramarine (dark blue), purple and cyan (light blue). the main objective of the game is to get all your cips to the other side of your colour house which is directly opposite at the house your cips are standing.

who starts first is not a matter. unlike the orginal version of checkers, you cant eat opponent's cips all be crowned when u get to the other side. to get to the other side or also known as your house, u can either just take one step per turn or jump over another cip besides that cip you wan to jump. u can jump non stop wif one cip per turn. u can even jump from the one end of the oppenents hse to your hse.

anyways, the chinese checkers tournament is in a computer game against 10 computerized oppenent:
1) Chloe - a sweet beautiful young gym trainer
2) Jack - a board game expert with many stories to tell
3) Jasper - an old american native
4) Marvin - a talking dinosaur trying not to be extinct
5) Harvey - a talking bear

the competition started with me against chloe, harvey, elayne, jack and hedda. first round i got second place while jack snatched first. chloe got third with elayne fourth and hedda wif fifth. harvey being last was eliminated and was replaced by jasper. second round jack again got first. elayne and chloe was second and third. jasper snatched fourth just in time for me to scored fifth. hedda being last was eliminated and got replaced by marvin

round three begin with me scored first. i didnt keep track what happens next but jasper got elimanted and replaced by rhett. next round i got third with elayne stealing first place. chloe was out while roswell came in. the strong competitor, jack got last at the next round putting scurvy in making us the top 6:

Elayne kept winning beating down Marvin and Scurvy out of the game while me almost last. the four of us challenge and manage to throw another strong player, scurvy while rhett got first. again rhett scored first with elayne throw out of the game. it was me against rhett. it didnt put a much fight cos he is a computer so the way he played is predictable. he will put cips in his home one by one while i just go all at the same time. so becos the small amount of player, he cant jump much allowing me to get first. yay. so lame. i know. nothing to post while matthe said BLOG UPDATE BLOG UPDATE BLOG UPDATE. so here u go. a boring blog update.

2008 starts and the gang cina is destroyed by the stupid computer that sets us apart. we were sent to diffrent parts of pure science stream classes which are:


1) Gamma
2) Delta
3) Omega
4) Zeta
5) Sigma
6) Beta

Alan was the only gang cina sent to gamma while yee leng is the only gamma sent to omega. yvonne is the only member of the gang cina to be sent to sigma while me and ryan were sent to beta. matthew, sheng ling, adrienne and marissa were in zeta while eng khim, yew han and hon sang in delta. im not sure about lih shyan though. lose contact with him d.

besides the fact that i got only 1 fren and my class is way back near the 'dessert' my class 4 beta is ok to me actually. i rather prefer sitting on a real desk rather than share a long stretch of blue table with nothing to lean on since i will be sitting on a stool. in 4 beta, i have a personal desk with no one to share with except the christian prayers, a place to put my stuff and a chair to lean on. however, the only problem and also the most major is that i will have no frens there. ryan will be moving to other class from the persuasion from his parents to the teacher and that he got sinense (cant spell) and the class is near the sandy area so chances is that he will get the permission to do so.

most of my frens will be switching to delta like sheng who is trying to switch and alan who alredy got the permission to switch classes by switching with one of the delta's student. matthew wants to switch but he think there will be no more space d. everyone were sort of against me that why i dun wan to switch. here is a few reasons:

1) i got no one to swap place with. no ones want to be in beta. why? is becos most of them are etas and thats why they got frens there d. the outsider would not wan to switch here cos there will only be like 1 or no fren at all.

2) unlike ryan, my parents wont waste their time coming to school to change my class. dun ask why cos it is just impossible. my parents rather me stay in that class as the teacher's choice.

3) i felt comfortable d. if i suddenly get to a new class i have to change all my records and i will feel odd. plus, i felt abit mean. imagine u r pn lee hee ai (my class teacher) and people were so dying to get out of ur class to be in another class. it felt kinda, sad.

i reallly dun mind changing but i bet it will be very mafan (annoying). so far, matthew ask the zeta's boys and none of them wants to switch. eng khim told me that all the boys in delta want to stay put. they love their class. so i got no choice. i talk to matthew d that maybe we can go try to plead teacher to send me to zeta. although most people ask me to go delta but matthew hav a point that the teacher most probably will let so many people change into one class.

whether it will work or not, i dunnoe yet. if i hav to spend my loneliness in beta, i think i can handle it. the people there arent that unfriendly. i manage to do some simple talk with them. i am currently mixing with wai shawn and chai lim. chai lim however wants to switch d. wai shawn is okay since he sits right next to me, but can be abit quiet. or maybe i am quiet. anyways, we both dun talk to each other much.

my class teacher who is also my add maths teacher is pn lee hee ai. she is nice b ut hav a bad english. my english teacher is pn rose chai but now miss rowena will take over her until her training period is over. my bm teacher is pn norzalati sumthing like that. i dun noe mind sejarah teacher's name but he is a malay man, short and plum. glasses and a very dark eye bag.

AGM meeting is okey when it comes to Hang Kasturi AGM and Taekwondo AGM meeting. however, academic and non academic clubs is very confusing. matthew kept changing mind and i tot since we are diffrent class myself follow him lah when comes to club and sports. we picked interact first but eventually decided to go for YEP insted. thanks to that non stop blabbing Andy, matthew became sesat when andy said that YEP is not good and this and that. we then switch to THE most boring club i had ever join, the History and Geography Club. although it is boring but the amount of member is only less than 15 peoples. and ame and matthew are the only form 4s. lol. matthew got the post as AJK form 4 easily. most members i see were prefects like felicity, chee siang and wei zheng. i think they are aiming for the same thing. anyways, through eng khim, i got an entry form to YEP.

sports felt odd to. me, matt and eng hkim picked table tennis hoping to score a position as well (i desperatly need a pose cos my cocu points should be VERY low). matthew's popularity scored him a vice president job. using his popularity and bribing and also with a pinch of give and take
i managed to get the tresurer. i felt really thanked to matthew ans without him i would hav never won the election. according to him, my diffrence with joanna was by 1 vote. however, every good there is a bad thing. the way he ask everyone to vote for me makes me feel abit cheap, no offence matthew. i am not blaming u but blaming myself for being so emotional. i should think like matt to get a post without worrying about everyone else thoughts.

we try to help eng khim get the ajk form 4 but guang yi stole it by 3 votes. it was 18 to 15. eng khim was third. felt sorry for him. he dun even wan to be in ping pong class in the first place. he wanted to be in badminton club insted.

anyways, i am back to worrying about me able and unable to switch class. chances would be a no. although ryan told methat he dun mind staying in beta with me but i know he really wans to go with u guys. since he got an advantage with his parents most probably he will get it. so for that, i told him that i will find a way but honestly, besides begging i couldnt find any other way. but like i said, i dun mind being alone. is not that bad there, i think. jus dun give me so much negative comments about 4 beta and how much happy u guys are together, i think i will make it. lol. so dramatic.

school starting tomorrow!!! am i scared? am i nervous? am i excited? honestly, i felt like in between, hamburgered by feelings that so jumble up together. i will have homeworks, more studies, more pressure, more teachers and more classes. then there are a few more things to worry about like tuition, curriculum, prefect duties, projects, finding new friends, coping with angry teachers (possible) and the fact that i will be sitting a stool with no place to lean my back during most classes. i missed my old chair and desk already. a desk all by myself and a chair that can lean your back. but since this year i will be in science stream class, most probably my classroom would be in some lab and i have to share the table with more than three peoples. is a big table and i actually dun mind but i got a feeling of an argument will exploded some time about the table. for example, your bottle spilt water on to my books or something, accidentally took each other books and etc. lets not forget the stool as well. instead of a nice back leaning chair, it will be an unbalanced stool.

then there will be the studies and homeworks. biology, add maths, physique, chemistry and more history plus outside school lessons like accounts and mandarin class. i have to take accounts just in case science didn't work out for me and mandarin is for future job looking advantage. how about the rest of the subjects? my mum an dad said that since i love animals, biology should not be much of problem for me. but i am not convinced, my cousin, YiLian, is the smart girl in our Cheong family and she didn't score straight A's for her SPM. Her biology was her only B. That pressured me. History is another problem, a big problem. form 1,2 and 3 is struggling enough and now i have to go through form 4 and 5 with subjectives questions this time. i am not sure about chemistry but i think is a challenge. every one's most feared subject, add maths is also another nervousity to me. all most everyone, except my cousin and my mum, said that is extremely hard. my mum told me with my maths as moderately good it shouldn't be a problem to me and how i hope is true. what i don't like is that add maths is almost pointless to me. physique seems hard as well. all the science calculation as if i am trying to issac newton or albert einstein.

then there are the prefect duties and curriculum activities. aside from orientation, i am not ready for prefect duties. is boring and some of them are utterly useless rules. i will also have to deal with some of BODs which can be annoying about we didnt do our job properly and bla bla bla. doesn't they know that they themselves gone through this and it ain't so easy to clean the entire canteen and etc. the curriculum is another big problem. i am really back when comes to curriculum activities. my taekwondo is my only support but i really dont feeli like joining next year. i can try for interact BOD's this year but i dont want to wear some black suit and being forced to all events held by the interacts. i just want the points. matthew had a great idea about joining all the non important club since to have more chance being the BODs and no important job to handle.

SPM coming in about less than 2 years time increases the pressure. all the homeworks, and classes will definately be 2 times harder. sigh. when will the torture of studying ends? until our old age i guess. thats the time to retire with back and eyes and what god know next problems.

being in a new class also means i hav to be ready to find new friends. i am actually a very quiet person in an unfamiliar surrounding so it will be hard for me to make new friends.

the only thing i am looking forward is no more boring days of lying around doing nothing. another best thing is meeting back my old friends. that is what makes school worth while.
