V and B day
valentine and my birthday had over few days ago. plus cny as well. no only did i get angpow this month but also presents.

i noe is little but the stuff is quite expensive (i think).

my angpow money this year is less than last year but not surprisingly since the countrie's economy is dropping. but i still managed to get more than rm400.

Amazing Race
matthew is not the only one obsessed with reality shows. note to everyone, u guys might not know, but me myself is also a big fan of reality shows which ultimately includes survivor, amazing race, fear factor, american idol, pirate master and lets not forget, amazing race asia!!!
the show finally ended after 13 episodes. some of u guys might say that what is the point for getting excited on the show. is not like we were in the game right? true, but some people are just obsessed like fans of soccer, basketball, tennis and some quiz show. when u guys watch the tournament, it felt like you were really in it and makes you excited. well, same thing here.
as i was saying, teams from season 2 of TARA had visited 10 diffrent countries which includes:

m: not much but there are still a few weakness.

m: always lost and vanessa keep getting injuries including nose bleed, pricked finger, head banging and memory lost.
d: they still managed to avoid elimination after so many mistakes they made.

first place is crowned to adrian and collin.

congrats to the singaporean. i was routing for them anyways cos they are the only team who can beat the phillippines since they were constant second place. i wanted to support ann and diane, but compared them with the boys, they got no match. teams i dun like would be terri and henry and edwin and monica plus sophie and aurealia. i hate teams who kept arguing. daichi and sawaka and brett and kinar are not bad. just average cos nothing special involves around them. paula and natasha are just the average sweet but strong team. that is technically the summary of the whole race.
Annual Donation
every year during the cny, me and my family would donate some food especially rice to those in need. last few years we went to the orphanage and a single mom's house who is VERY poor. this year, we did something diffrent by visiting the old folks home and the handicap people. the place is somewhere deep selangor called hulu yam.
it was recommended by a family friend we visit yesterday. she went there with her lion club (the older version of the leo club) and cleaned the house for them, repaint it, buy them chicken and char siew pow and more. we didnt make it so grand lah cos is only the four of us. we bought packets of rice and some biscuits from a nearby store in usj16. the drive was extremly long for a short outing. it took more than an hour to reach there. plus my dad got lost and have to ask a vegetable seller for direction. so kebetulan, that man was sort of incharge of bringing visitor to the home so he lead us there with his bike.
he brought us to the home where the least people visits. that was my father intention as we thinks that we should help those who get the least help. once we reach there, the place was also visited by another family. the home is actually just two single storey house with a wire gate splitting them but it was torn apart to make a wlkway between the two houses.
an indian man, who is incharge of this place told us that a very kind man brought all the handicap children to genting as a treat. for the old people staying back, he belanja them with chicken wing. therefore, all we saw there was just old people. they were very skinny but have a very pleasent face. we also found out that about 40 over people is staying in there. the house is really small and i cant imagine having 40 over people staying in it. they were planning to build a small building on a land since one of the home is a corner house.
after waving goodbye, we went to stop by somewhere near for lunch. we managed to stop by in a sefood restaurant not knowing it was a seafood restaurant. the simple waitress told us that their specialties is crab, prawn, squid and stuff like that. my mother didnt wan to eat those as she didnt have seafood in her mind. instead we order fuk kin min (hokkien mee) and wat tan hor (slippery egg mee). to those who dont know (i bet no one know about it), wat tan hor is my second most fav food and the best i ever tasted is from the old owner of tong le garden restaurant in ss19. they shift from a big restaurant to small booth in parkway called siew chow. anyways, the wat tan hor was okey okey to me cos i prefer the one in parkway but the fuk kin min was moderately nice. we also add in order of yu bang (fish cake) and chuk tan (bamboo oyster). it was delicious for a simple class restaurant.
we than head home later. on the journey home, my dad relaised that he havent paid the shopkeeper in usj16 the money for the biscuits. so we have to make a detour and paid the cost although the shopkeeper didnt even noticed. but what for keeping the money. we do good karma and yet we cheat people's money, myself dont donate anything at all.
oh well, thats how i celebrate my 4th day of chinese new year.

Last Touch Up
chinese new year is tomorrow! yay! today, me and my family did some last touch up on our house. cleaning and cleaning. but my most fav part is decorating. i have alredy told u half of my chinese new year decoration so i am not going to list it down again. we prepared the food for the guest to eat (although we ourselves eat more), foods for the ancestors, getting ready to challenge the taboos, more cleaning, family reunion dinners and decoratrions!
those who are strict chinese would noe the basic taboos during chinese new year. the most famous of all is not eating meat and eggs during the first day of chinese new year. there is no proper superstisious nonsense about this rule. this taboo is created to avoid killing on that day since is a new year for everyone.
other taboo would be avoid doing anything that have to do with books cos in mandarin, book is pronounced 'shu' which also sounds like losing. water with the same reason for 'sui' which means bad.
anyway, as i was saying, i love decorating. this time, i was joined with my parents. here are all the decos in my hse:
200 Ringgit Time Wasted
me and another 76 straight A's student of pmr was given the invitation to stadium malawati to redeemed our prize from the goverment for scoring straight a's. rumours spread through newspaper that we will be getting a sum of money of RM200. excited for our money, all of attend the party thrown for us and another 5 600 students from the petaling daereah.
i regretted it deeply. the speech was boring and i actually fell asleep. the food sucks and so does the sitting place. is as cramp as being in a clam. then, when the main event begun which is the certificate giving, all of us were excited. we were in line and got so nervous to shake hand with the menteri besar.
BUT we didnt get any money nor certificate. it was with the pengetua who suddenly dissapear from the stadium. rumours passed that we will only get our prize after chinese new year. WHAT IS THIS? we spent our precious time for that stupid little event when all we want was our prize not some free cheapskate food.
we have to wait for the new year to over that is so sad. even my parents agreed that my pengetua is being a weirdo. anyways, i took some pictures for the school photography club and took some pictures for my own. so to announced the new year, and shut those people who kept saying my blog with no pictures is boring, well here are some pictures i caught in the boring adventure:

Merentas Desa
until now i have no idea why they call the race merentas desa. direct translation into english would means across the village. what does that means?
anyways, the merentas desa i have nothing to talk about cos we only spent time running around in an 'amazing race' with 100s of contestants. this is my second time joining. the first was two years ago and i scored 19 place. quite high right? lol. but it was luck. those who never join it before would not know that merentas desa race is divided into 6 groups:
L1: boys form 5
L2: boys form 3 and 4
L3: boys form 1 and 2
and the same goes to the girls
position is counted base on groups
that time i was in group L1. most good runners didnt join at that time and forms 1 have tiny legs plus again, most of them didnt went for it. therefore, chances of getting high place is higher. and thats is how i got 19th place in group L1 over 100 something. sadly, only the top 15 get a throphy.
this year i am in L2 and this time, more good runner appear and the form 3 arent missing out either. the race begins very long after the stupid warm up. hyper, fun but stupid warm up. we were the last group to leave with group L1.
i trained myself jogging before last year and abit this year so i think my stamina in jogging is higher than last time. i jog around half my area twice eveytime i went for jogging. if i am not mistaken, jogging around half my area twice is almost the same as jogging one full round of ss18 with only 4 rest stops. but i didnt stop 4 times only. i ran longer therefore stoped more.
it seems further although it is almost the ecact length as i usually jog. but since i am not that physically fit, i guess i shouldnt be surprise. i met with a few people during the race. i met matthew first. he was way ahead of me at first after yew han (a quartermaster) told me in the middle of the race. i manage to catch up to him while he take his breath.
later i met with this unknown stranger. thinking to motivate myself, i just chase after him and i did it when he too catches his breath. i than met with yew vinn. again, when he took his breath i sped of across him. not long i saw my sis (she is suppose to be way ahead of me as her group leave the earliest) walking with her friend. chat wif her for awhile before i took of. i finally met with alvin. unlike the rest, he seldom stops. he stopped once and i manage to chase after him. BUT after quite awhile, when is my turn to stop and rest, he just zoom past me. i therefore, tried to chase after him but it seems like he never stops. i got too tired and i stopped chasing him giving him the lead above me.
the last i race in the merentas desa, i use alan and nicholas as my motivational bait. they were usually infront of me so i just chase after them when they race but they will easily chase back after me. however, before reaching the finish line, i zoom past them as i took the lead infront of them making me 19th place.
sadly, this time i managed to score 31st place. a big gap between me ex-position and the recent one. T.T but then again, the number is okay if u are racing with so many other peoples. although it is a low number buy i am quite proud of myself lor. thanks to my jogging practice. if not, i might be 200 something (if there is that position).
after the race there was a short performance by en awang only. it was okey atfirst but the fact that he is the only entertainer boreds me quickly. i dun really like him anyways. my cousins says that he is a bit of a playboy. not the extreme type but a bit playboyish.
